Who else is super pumped that it’s GRILLING season! We grill every chance we get; there’s just something about the flavor that can’t be beat! We love to grill chicken but I am always looking for ways to spice things up a bit. We eat chicken pretty frequently since it’s a healthier option so we gotta keep it interesting! We tried this recipe this week and LOVED it! This marinade took just a few minutes to make and the chicken was really flavorful and juicy! I paired it with another recipe I found on Pinterest; Cilantro-Lime Rice.
Grilled Honey Lime Cilantro Chicken
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup lime juice (I squeezed some fresh limes but you can use bottled)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 Tbsp Bragg’s Liquid Aminos (or soy sauce)
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2-3 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Put chicken in a ziplock bag or in a glass dish with a lid. In a small bowl combine lime juice, honey, Bragg’s aminos, olive oil, minced garlic, cilantro, salt and pepper. Pour the marinade over the chicken and let marinade for at least 3 hours or overnight.
- Grill on medium-high to high or around 450. Cook about 12 minutes per side. Butterfly each breast and grill another 2 minutes each. *NOTE: Every grill cooks differently so you might need to adjust your cook time. Cook time also depends on the thickness of each breast.
- Sprinkle some chopped cilantro on each chicken breast, if desired.
- Enjoy!
We paired this chicken with Cilantro-Lime Rice. I followed this recipe but I did substitute brown rice for white rice.
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we did!
